Bluffs & Brews: Paddle the Vermillion River

June 27 @ 2:00 am - 7:00 pm

$15 – $25

Wednesday, June 27
2 – 7 PM

On Wednesday, June 27 the Goodhue County Historical Society and Red Wing Environmental Learning Center invite you to canoe the Vermillion River! Before we embark on the river adventure, the group will learn about the history of pearl button factories in Goodhue County. A social hour will follow at Liberty’s Restaurant in Red Wing, MN.

Transportation will be provided from the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center to the launch site and back. Ticket holders will need to provide his/her own transportation to the Red Wing ELC and to social hour. Complimentary “brew” (beer or cider) from Liberty’s is included in this program.

Bluffs & Brews is a collaborative program between the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center and the Goodhue County Historical Society that began in 2015. First, the group explores a local history topic through an engaging presentation. Immediately after, the group explores the outdoors, specifically the local area that reflects the content discussed in the historic presentation. Following the outdoor adventure, the group convenes at a local restaurant to reflect on the experience, and for an opportunity to win door prizes.
