History Break: The Energy to Make Things Better

February 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Spend your lunch hour at the Goodhue County History Center for our monthly free lunchtime program! Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch with them while they soak up stories.

Presented by Ross Lexvold,
Manager of Community Relations and Economic Development at Xcel Energy

In this presentation, you will learn about one of the local electrical service providers, Xcel Energy, and its roots in the area, the “energy” to make things better through the years, and navigating a new world of energy into the 21st century. We will take a look at photos ranging from generation to transmission and distribution, and discuss some of the things that have helped Xcel Energy remain a trusted, reliable energy provider since 1902.

This History Break is in conjunction with the temporary exhibit Electrifying Minnesota, on view at the Goodhue County History Center through April 29, 2018.
