History Break: The Evolution and Impact of Rock & Roll in the 1960s

October 18 @ 12:00 pm

Mix up your lunch routine with our free, lunch time program History Break. Enjoy your meal while you learn about one aspect of local, state, or national history. This month, our History Break program will focus on Rock & Roll in the United States.

Mike Arturi, Universal Music Center founder and lifelong professional musician and music lover, will present the dynamic and edgy history of Rock & Roll in the 1960s. Mike will explore the birth of Rock and Roll in the 50’s, explain its evolution into the 60’s, then focus on the rapid and dramatic change of the music through that decade.

This History Break is in conjunction with the temporary exhibit Coming of Age: The 1968 Generation. Enjoy this program free of charge.
