CANCELED- Stories at GCHS: Hardest Lot of Men

Join Speaker Joseph Fitzharris Professor Emeritus of St. Thomas University. Dr. Fitzharris specialized in the U.S. Civil War, and economic and Military History. He is the Author of the “Hardest Lot of Men: The 3rd Minnesota Infantry, Broken and Forged Anew” During the evening he will be focusing on Mattson and his “Scandinavian Guard” company D and Gurnee’s Company E . Both Local to Goodhue County, he will share some of their adventures and misadventures with a few reading selections from the book. The book will also be available in the gift shop before and after the presentation.
This event will be hybrid event offered in person as well as digitally. If coming in person please reserve your spot as soon as possible there will be 15 in person spots available.
